When I dropped Haley off at school today, her teacher stopped me and said that Haley wanted her to talk to me (uhhhh, okay) about diapers. It seems that Haley has been using the potty every day (and managing to stay dry in between visits)- and after the potty is not so thrilled about putting a diaper back on...yup, you guessed it....she wants to wear underwear.
There are a handful of girls (maybe 2-3) that have made the big leap to underwear - so Haley simply wants to fit in. BUT get rid of the diapers? Egad! Any parent can tell you that going from diapers to underwear is terrifying (for the parents - not so much the kid).
HOWEVER, the best part is that Haley's teacher offered to have me bring in underwear and a ton of spare clothes to school so she can try underwear out there. PHEW! Those that know me best know that I have a bit of a OCD when it comes to stuff (i.e. dust, dirt, URINE) on my floors.
So I trekked to Target today (my home away from home) and picked out some cute Dora and Elmo undies for my newest "big" kid.....
